The AUC hosted an inclusive conference for all agricultural PhD students in November 2023.

We held the first inclusive cross-disciplinary student conference for agriculture, involving:

Networking with peers, academic leaders & industry experts

Student speed talks ('3 Minute Thesis')
*Price included day conference ticket, lunch and refreshments (and evening meal on 13th if indicated). Travel bursaries were available
Student pre-conference dinner and showcase
Monday 13th November
Students were invited to an informal dinner in a friendly, social setting ahead of the conference the next day. The evening included the chance to give a '3 minute thesis' about your project.
Collaborating with the Nuffield Farming Annual Conference
Students were encouraged to stay on and join the Nuffield Farming Annual Conference at the same venue Sandy Park from the 15th November.
More than 30 Nuffield Farming Scholars presented findings from their international study tours, covering a wide range of timely subjects including regenerative farming, renewable energy, carbon farming, industry reputation, alternative proteins, robotics, seed breeding, leadership, animal health, and much more.
